The main focus of the kindergarten science curriculum is "Trees" and how they change throughout the year. We were very busy in the fall observing the trees around the schoolyard and doing projects on the parts of a tree. We compared, counted, illustrated, wrote, and sang about trees and leaves throughout October! Our Tree Studies video showcases some of the projects we did and why we think trees are important. You also get to hear our tree songs and meet Mrs. McGinley, a local naturalist, who came to do a program about trees for the kindergarten classes. Finally you get to see our "adopted tree", which we will observe and record as it changes over the school year.
